I have been using bird song on my mobile and they make the most unoffensive ringtones. You know that frown that often comes over people's faces when a mobile phone rings with the latest Britney Spears song in a public place? I can assure you that a Pied Butcherbird calling on your mobile will only bring smiles from those around you. Just as bird songs should do.

Birdsongs make wonderful ringtones. Unlike so many ringtones, these are actually enjoyable to listen to. When your mobile rings, you'll hear evocative sounds from the Australian bush. These ringtones are all natural, Australian, and full of character.

What fun I'm having now! Butcherbirds wake me up in the morning, Magpies tell me I have an appointment, Bellbirds tell me I have a message, and of course, Kookaburras tell me I've got a call.

Getting a call on a bus with the volume up loud is great fun! You can imagine the faces! I'm reluctant to answer!

** PLEASE NOTE: Ringtones will download to your computer. You will have to transfer them onto your phone from there, probably using either Bluetooth or a USB cable. In your download file, we have included a text file with suggestions for how to upload our ringtones to your phone, plus a link at the bottom of each page on our shop.

All our ringtones are mp3 files. Before purchasing, check that your phone will be compatable with them (most modern ones are). Either consult your phone's instruction manual, or just try transfering any short mp3 file to your phone and setting as the default ringtone. We cannot give refunds if your phone is a cranky old dinosaur of a gadget that is not compatible with mp3 file ringtones!

Each of these ringtones is around 20-30 secs long, and each collection downloads as a zip file. You will need to expand this file using a decompression utility such as Stuffit (see the FAQ page on our shop for further details). **
